The main goal of the MedRiSSE project is to develop a Mediterranean scalability pathway for social innovations that enable the co-production of municipal services with local Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) actors that have emerged from interactions between government and SSE involved in several EU-funded projects. These mentioned projects are MedTOWN, MoreThanAJob, MedUP!, RUWOMED & IESS.

IESS

With unemployment surfacing among the most urgent social issues prevailing in Tunisia and indering its economic growth, IESS! (Employment Initiatives in Social and Solidarity Economy in Tunisia) was launched to promotes employment through the development of the Social and Solidarity Economy in Tunisia. This 3-year support program -running from September 2014 until 2018- aims to create sustainable jobs for young people and women through the creation and strengthening of sustainable enterprises in different Tunisian regions. The main objective is promoting employment through the development of the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS), a source of social cohesion, by favoring the disadvantaged regions of Tunisia.

MedTOWN

The project’s overall objective is to promote an enabling environment in the Southern Mediterranean partner countries for the development of the social entrepreneurship sector as a driver for inclusive growth and job creation. MedUp! worked with a multilevel approach: at Macro Level by promoting country and cross-country policy and advocacy initiatives and public-private dialogue to create an enabling regulatory and policy environments; at Meso Level by reinforcing 60 social entrepreneurship support organizations through capacity-building and networking activities; and at Micro Level by providing financial and technical support to 100 social enterprises.

MoreThanAJob
